Description: | People For the American Way is a national advocacy organization dedicated to making the promise of America real for every American: Equality. Freedom of speech. Freedom of religion. The right to seek justice in a court of law. The right to cast a vote that counts. The American Way. We offer internships in several areas; some are available throughout the year. Part-time internships and flexible scheduling may be arranged. Internships are unpaid but we are happy to work with students to arrange academic credit. Interns work with staff to track legislation, monitor congressional hearings, assist with program activities, and help with current research and writing projects, as well as some support duties. Current opportunities include work in African American Religious affairs, communications, development, public policy, web, young people for fellowship program internship, and young people for communications and events internship. Internships are unpaid, though academic credit may be available. |
