Description: | NATO interns have the opportunity to work in one of the following divisions: defence investment, defence policy and planning, executive management, NATO office of security, operations, political affars and security policy, public diplomacy, and the private office of the council secretariat. Interns will be able to participate in a NATO Speaker Series. This gives them the chance to meet with personnel working in different parts and on different levels of the organisation. The Internship Programme Officer meets with the interns on a regular basis to discuss different topics of interest and make sure they enjoy their stay at NATO. All inters are offered the possibility to take French Language Classes, organised by the Staff Centre at a reduced price. Applicants must be current students having completed at least 2 years of university study or be within one year of graduation, must be at least 21 years of age, must belong to one of the nationalities of the NATO member states, and must be proficient in one of the official NATO languages (English/French); working knowledge of the other is desirable. |
